How to play jigsaw puzzles online
GoPuzzleGo turns any image into an interactive jigsaw puzzle you solve right in your browser. Here's everything you need to know to start solving in seconds.
Getting started
Choose an image from the gallery, play the free daily puzzle, or browse a category. Pick how many pieces you want — anywhere from 4 to 4,000 — and a cut style: classic, fractal, zigzag, smart cut, or a shaped cut such as Cat or Candy. Your puzzle opens on a virtual table, ready to solve.
Solving controls
- Drag to move. Grab a piece and drag it; release it near its correct spot and it snaps into place.
- Rotate. When rotation is on, turn a piece before placing it. Turn rotation off for an easier solve.
- Edge tray. Loose pieces gather in a tray so your workspace stays tidy.
- Hints. Stuck? Use a hint to nudge the next piece toward its home.
- 3D depth. Optional 3D piece depth adds a tactile, lifelike feel to every piece.
- Comfort mode. Switch it on to begin with just the edge pieces, framed close up, while the rest wait faded in the background.
Difficulty by piece count
Fewer pieces are faster and more relaxing; more pieces are a longer challenge. As a rough guide: 12–48 pieces for a quick break, 100–300 for a relaxed solve, and 500–4,000 for a proper project. Your solve time is recorded so you can chase a spot on the leaderboard.
Play together
Open Tables are realtime co-op rooms: invite friends and solve the same puzzle together, up to 8 players at a table, with every piece moving live on a shared board. Guests don't need an account. Solve daily puzzles to build a streak and track your progress in your stats. Browse Open Tables to join a live board, or start your own from any puzzle's Play-with-Friends button.
Races and team races
Prefer a contest? Choose Race when you create a room: everyone gets the same puzzle with the same starting layout, the clock runs, and the fastest finish wins. Race Solo, as a Duo, or as a Team of three or four — teammates share one board and each team gets its own colour. Up to 12 racers can join a room, and guests don't need an account.
Every race has a watch link that opens a spectator screen with the live leaderboard and each racer's progress — put it on a TV or projector for a party, classroom or stream. Watching needs no account and doesn't take a racer's seat.
Puzzles without a picture
For a different kind of challenge, try a puzzle with no picture at all: Frosted Glass, Iridescent, Metallic or a single colour you pick yourself. With no image to follow, you solve by the shape of each piece.
Special 3D puzzles
Special puzzles are hand-made puzzles with real 3D terrain: planets, mountains and valleys rise from the pieces, as a picture or in polished metal. Tilt the board with the cube in the corner to see the relief. Some Special puzzles need Premium.
